Pack 3322 will be holding a socially-distanced Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 30th from 6:30-7:30 PM in the parking lot of Christ Community Chapel.
Each family places a bowl or bag with treats 6 feet away from their family’s car. Each bowl or bag is part of a larger circle, which the Scouts and young siblings (escorted only by an older family member and with no commingling of families) walk around the larger circle, in costumes, and proclaim “Trick or Treat,” collect candy from the family’s bowl or bag, and extend thanks.
Families should plan to arrive between 5:30-6:15 PM to claim their parking spot and set up their trunk. All cars that are passing out candy need to be parked by 6:15 PM.
Trunk-or-Treat will start at 6:30 PM.
This event is open to all Pack 3322 families and any family with a child in grades K-5 who wants to learn more about Cub Scouts. Only the current 3322 families are responsible for setting up a tunk and passing out candy. All families are welcome to decorate their car trunk and pass out candy – but it is not a requirement to attend.
Each Pack family is responsible for the candy or treats that will be passed out at their vehicle. When planning for candy amounts – Pack 3322 has 74 active Scouts (all do not attend every event) + siblings + new families who are visiting.
Scout leaders will also be awarding special candy prizes to their favorite costumes.
We encourage all families to decorate their cars. There will be a special award from Cubmaster Katz for the most festive trunk. Ideas for staging your trunk include:
- Halloween decorations
- Socially-distanced activities – hopscotch, scavenger hunt or I Spy (kids find an item in your trunk decorations), bean bag or ball toss (must sanitize after each touch), charades, Simon Says.
Let’s have a safe, festive, candy-filled, and FUN Trunk-or-Treat! We’ll see you on October 30th.
