Does anyone know of any young children who may want to watch pumpkins fly through the air and then explode on the ground? If you can think of one or two kids who this may appeal to, consider signing up for our District’s annual Punkin’ Chunkin’. The event will take place on Saturday, October 5th from 10:30-12:30 at Camp Butler’s Sports Field. Please consult this map as needed (for those that went camping with us in September, park in the same parking lot and walk down the hill behind the Pavilion we used).
In addition to the flying and exploding gourds, there will be a relay race, a craft, a patch, and a snack. The cost is $10 per Scout. Sorry, siblings don’t get a pumpkin to launch (or snack, craft, etc.), but prospective Scouts can attend, so feel free to invite and register a friend for this event. Please register by Monday, October 1st.
Note that this is a District event, and not put on by the Pack. Because we don’t control the timing, this is a HARD deadline. Please plan on arriving around 10:15, so Pack 3322 can be first in line for the pumpkin catapult (arriving on time at 10:15 is key). Scouts should wear their Class Bs.
